Your primary responsibility will be to ensure all client deadlines are met whilst ensuring all work is scheduled in a manner which maximises productivity. You will have good computer skills, a sound understanding of basic statistics and excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Input all orders into the production planning system and schedule all production activities in line with company procedures regarding lead times and batch sizes
- Liaise with all production departments including subcontract sewers to ensure all work is understood, planned and due dates are met.
- Monitor all production orders and report to management on any concerns which may prevent the achievement of due dates and quality expectations of the company
- Order all purchased parts, raw materials and consumables for all areas of the business
- Work with the General Manager Operations to improve the production planning process and assist with the development of new internal software which will enhance the total manufacturing activity
- Generate statistical reports on order quantities and lead times as received by the planning department
- Generate reports on all production departments performance to scheduled due dates
- Generate reports on department capacity and ongoing workload
- Manage all subcontract sewing activities including cutting and sewing of sublimated products, sewing of custom made products and all embroidery
- Analyse and appraise the effectiveness of production, methods, costs, and results.
- Work closely with sales representatives, graphic artists, sublimation and screen print operators and subcontract sewers
To be considered for this role you will have:
- Experience in a planning and procurement role.
- Sound knowledge of production processes, quality control and other techniques for maximising the effectiveness of manufacturing and distribution of goods
- Excellent organisational skills
- High level written and oral communication
- A sound understanding of basic statistics
- Good computer skills
Whilst not essential preference will be given to applicants with experience in the clothing or textile industry.
