Our client is aspecialist centre dedicated to the treatment of vascular disorders. They have been established for over 10 years and are commonly regarded as one of the medical leaders in their field. They have a glowing reputation both in Australia and internationally and are recognised for their excellent care of patients as well as their research.
This role represents a rare opportunity for an experienced medical practice manager or an operations manager to manage a leading organisation of about 20 staff including administration, research and professional. Reporting directly to the Medical Director you will be responsible for the efficient running of the medical centre including general business planning, practice management, financial and asset management, staff management and risk management and compliance.
Your primary duties will include:
- Work closely with the Medical Director in achieving practice goals/objectives
- Staff rostering
Ensure that the reception area is operating efficiently and providing excellent client service - Budgeting and expenditures including liaising with the accountant
- Recruitment and induction of staff
- Preparation and organisation of regular weekly team meetings
- Review and monitor systems, processes, procedures and accreditation on an ongoing basis to ensure a consistent high standard
- Effective supervision and management of front Reception, Administration Accounting, Sonographers, Nursing , Quality Control on a daily basis to ensure effective scheduling and management of patient bookings
- Performance reviews and KPI implementation and monitoring
- Maintain doctors medical legal documentation
- Maintain healthy image of the practice
- Manage registrar documentation & create passwords
- Management of drug and administration ordering
- Troubleshooting IT issues
- Maintaining medical legal documentation register of SSVC Doctors, Sonographers
- Ensuring all practice compliance requirements are maintained
- Ongoing OH&S compliance and all other legal requirements
To be considered for this role you will have:
- a minimum of 5 years experience as a practice manager / operations manager
- a background in medical practice management will be ideal, however, an experienced operations manager (or a practice manager in a legal, accounting or other professional services environment) will definitely be considered
- a hands-on attitude to your work. For example, if reception is short staffed you will be expected to step into the breach
- excellent people skills
- good all round computer skills including spreadsheets
- a 45 minute commute to the Eastern Suburbs
