Receptionist / Office Administration

Our client is a well-established and growing chartered accounting practice providing a range of accounting, taxation and audit services to a desirable list of clients.  You will be working with a small team of highly qualified accountants who are dedicated to providing the highest levels of client care and professional advice whilst at the same time maintaining a sensible work life balance.

This role represents a genuine opportunity for a motivated individual seeking a wonderful job with a great little accounting practice. You will have at least 3 years experience as a receptionist and office administration person who is keen on providing first class service and staying in a job long term.

Whilst not essential we are looking for a candidate with experience working in a public practice accounting office. Experience with ASIC lodgements and with Handy Soft will be high regarded.

Your duties will include:

  • General receptionist duties
  • Banking – on line and physical
  • Raising invoices
  • Petty cash
  • AR/AP
  • Payroll
  • Putting together tax returns as directed by the accountants
  • Managing the Company Register
  • General administration duties

To apply for this position it is essential that you have the following:

  • A minimum of 3 years experience as a receptionist and general administration person
  • Professional presentation
  • Extremely professional telephone skills
  • Intermediate skills in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Basic AR and AP experience using accounting software
  • High level written communication skills
  • An ability to perform general office administration work
  • Be a self starter
  • Have good attention to detail
  • Have the ability to work autonomously and as part of a team

Whilst not essential, experience in the following areas will be highly regarded:

MYOB (Accountant’s Office)

Handy Soft

Experience working in an accounting firm
