Recruitment of a Maintenance Supervisor $50000 to $60000 pa plus super Sutherland Shire

Our client has been is a retirement village incorporating an aged care facility. Their services are a personal, of high integrity and quality and they have been in the community of the Sutherland Shore since the 1980’s.
Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer and being supported by a team of eight the role is responsible for the effective delivery of maintenance and repair of mechanical equipment throughout the company.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Ensure maintenance staff attend to any mechanical breakdowns in equipment
- Maintaining asset register and inventory records
- Attend to emergencies out of hours
- Maintenance of gardening services
- Ongoing refurbishment of facilities
- Liaise with and supervise tradesmen and contractors
To be successful for this role you must have the following:
- Demonstrated experience in a similar maintenance or trade role preferably in an aged care environment
- Demonstrated experience in staff supervision
- A relevant Trade Certificate
- Competent PC skills in Microsoft suite of products – Excel, Word
- Good written and verbal communication skills,
- Friendly and caring demeanour and ability to relate in a courteous and respectful manner to residents, visitors and colleagues
- A demonstrated knowledge, experience and commitment to OH&S and Quality Management
