Our client is one of Australia’s pre-eminent retailers in their field. Their stores have earned a reputation amongst industry professionals as the premier hotspot for innovation and design. The owners’ passion for new and creative approaches has led to a mini revolution in household design throughout Australia. Stocking all the premier brands as well as the more affordable choices they are justifiably viewed by architects and trades people as the indispensable one stop shop.
This role represents a fantastic opportunity to join a well established family owned company who truly value their staff and as a consequence have little staff turnover. Your input will be highly valued as will your energy and input. You will be joining a small company who provide first tier service and are well respected in the industry.
This is not a show room where hard selling is encouraged. A consultative and helpful approach with customers is the recommended approach to selling. Your primary duties will include talking to customers about their requirements, answering their questions, making recommendations and drawing up quotes. You will be selling to a broad range of clients including Mums and Dads, architects, designers, builders and plumbers.
Your primary duties will include:
- Displaying merchandise in the showroom
- Engaging with customers who walk in or make telephone enquiries
- Making follow up calls to existing customers
- Drawing up quotes
- Selling one off items as well as a combination of items worth in excess of $50K
To be successful for this role you must have:
- A minimum of 2 years+ in a retail sales environment or a customer facing sales/customer service role
- Confidence and a willingness to provide customers with exceptional service
- Great personality
- Able to think on your feet
- Be proactive
- Reliable, professional and proactive
- Stable work history with good references
