Our client is a leading provider in the professional management of computing services and infrastructure. They provide secure and reliable data centres for their clients’ computing infrastructure as well as a range of managed services, including systems management, backup, security, communications, and database administration
The company has been in operation for over 10 years and is growing rapidly. As a result, we are looking for an experienced Microsoft Citrix Engineer with an understanding of storage management, and enterprise level server experience to take on this challenging and rewarding role. The day to day purpose of the role is to manage the day to day activities required to support clients including managing and reporting on incidents and problems. You will also provide analysis and support of the systems required to ensure performance meets or exceeds defined SLAs.
Your primary duties will include:
Providing consultancy and technical support to existing customers
Hands-on troubleshooting and rectifying service issues in regards to Citrix and Microsoft services in accordance with agreed service levels
Providing technical input to architectural designs and implementing said designs
Maintaining and supporting Microsoft and Citrix related hardware, software and applications
Implementing enhancements to existing infrastructure and liaising with vendors in regards to outsourced services
Implementing of new hardware, software and services
Routine operational, maintenance and support activities Creation and auditing of system documentation
To be considered for this role you will have:
Demonstrated track record across the Citrix Xen Suite (XenApp, XenServer)
Experience with Citrix Appliances (NetScaler, Access Gateway)
Proven Experience with Windows Server 2003/2008 and associated technologies
Excellent Documentation skills
Ability to deliver autonomously, in tight deadlines and to schedule
Ability to work under pressure with excellent time management skills
Excellent customer focus and communication
Ability to work "on-call" and outside normal business hours
CCEA or demonstrated equivalent experience
Five or more years of practical experience in above areas
Applicable industry certifications and exposure to ITIL and Prince2/PMBOK
