Our client has been operating for over 4 decades providing a range of tours, coach hire & bus charter for individuals and groups in all regions of Australia. Experiencing continuing growth due to their high service levels and sterling reputation they are now ready to take on a new full time assistant accounts manager.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a well established and stable company where you will enjoy working for a great manager and a great team. Reporting directly to the sales manager your duties, as well as being interesting, will be varied and provide you with daily interest and stimulation.
Your role is essentially taking inbound enquiries and converting them to sales (there is no cold calling or outbound calls). Once you’ve converted the call you will be expected to enter all the pertinent details into the relevant database for which there will be training.
Your primary duties will include:
Taking inbound calls/enquiries and converting them to bookings (sales)
Entering relevant details into the database
Responding to general enquiries
Providing support to the reservations team
To be considered for this role you will have:
- Experience working as a phone based sales person
- An ability to convert incoming enquiries into sales
- Excellent and confident telephone manner
- Enjoy talking to people over the phone
- Basic to intermediate skills with MS Word and Outlook
- Stable work history with good referees
A background in selling for events companies or hotel reservations will be viewed favourably.
