Our client is a leading producer of a range of plastic products used in a variety of commercial and residential applications. Working mainly with floor slabs they have been experiencing solid growth over the last several years and are keen on expanding their products into their existing client base as well as establishing new markets.
As the estimator and dispatch person you will be responsible for estimating materials from floor plans required for floor slabs and then ensuring they are dispatched on schedule to the client.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Estimating the materials required to go into house floor slabs including reinforcing steel, Pods and associated plastics
- Ordering and purchasing the required materials
- Co-ordinating the dispatch of the materials to the client in a timely manner
- Liaising with clients, builders and drivers
- Producing weekly reports re: materials list including volumes
- Entering all relevant information into a database
To be considered for this role you will have:
- Demonstrated track record in estimating materials required for a job from building plans - preferably dealing with floor slabs
- Demonstrated track record in dispatching materials to client sites in a timely and accurate manner
- Experience with ordering / purchasing of saleable items
- Very good verbal and written communication skills
- Presenting weekly reports to upper management
