Lead Generation Consultant/Specialist

Our client is aspecialist provider of toll-free, fixed line, mobile and broadband solutions to small and medium businesses. They currently employ over 120 staff throughout Australia & New Zealand. They are in a growth phase, with several internal opportunities available for good performers to develop and progress their career.
They wish to appoint a Lead Generation Consultant/Specialist on a full-time basis to work as part of a team who generate leads and identify business opportunities - which are passed on to Sales for follow up. The successful candidate will have exceptional conversational opening skills, be measured by the consistent achievement of On-Target performance, and have the ability to grow the database by prospecting and contacting professionals about their business needs and initiatives.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Generating new leads by calling and emailing prospects
- Identifying the appropriate decision maker to introduce products & services
- Forwarding sales-ready leads to Business Development
- Pro-actively calling customers to promote upgrades/new products
- Ensuring all leads are logged & distributed
- Targeting new business opportunities through the existing network of clients
To be successful for this role you must:
- Have excellent verbal & written communications skills
- Have B2B phone/sales experience (minimum of 1 year)
- Have cold calling/outbound experience
- Have experience working with targets & commissions
- Be comfortable with making approximately 50 calls per day
- Have the ability to effectively overcome rejection, whilst upholding a high level of professionalism, respect and courtesy to others
An understanding of the Telecommunications industry is desirable
