About the Role:
Our client is currently seeking an experienced Business Services Manager whose focus is on providing timely and quality service to our clients and someone who demonstrates true leadership. The successful candidate will possess previous experience working within a public practice accountancy environment and be responsible for managing, supporting, and driving a small team of aspiring Accountants!

  • Manage a team of 6 accountants including setting KPIs and quality of service expectations
  • Manage and review work performed by the accountants
  • Manage staff performance, WIP, and billings
  • Assist with the hiring of new staff which includes interviews, liaising with agencies, etc
  • New employee Induction and training junior / new staff
  • Client Management – build trusting and solid relationships with clients, internal staff, and any third party suppliers and or stakeholders
  • Develop and manage company policies and procedures along with WH&S
  • Research any technical issues as and when required
  • Identify opportunities for practice development and client base growth

Skills and Experience:

  • 5+ years experience as a Business Services Manager
  • Experience managing and supporting staff with empathy and understanding. No Micro-Manager’s
  • Experienced in managing staff performance, new staff inductions, and training, and development
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities 
  • Solid understanding of tax and accounting fundamentals
  • CA, CPA
  • MUST be a Permanent Resident of Australia
