About the Role:

My client currently has an exciting opportunity for a local and dedicated Video Insurance Assessor to come and join their team based in Balcatta and operating across the Perth region. As a Video Assessor you will be responsible for conducting video assessments for building insurance claims, along with repair, maintenance and renovation requests.

Duties:

  • Conduct property assessments and estimates via video assessment to obtain damage and cause information for additional works and re-attends
  • Compile and create detailed causation reports, accurate scopes of works and quotes for new/additional works
  • Provide repair and technical advice on claims and/or repair processes to all stakeholders
  • Build and maintain key sub-contractor relationships, including building surveyor, engineers and local authorities to assist with the technical aspects of your role.
  • Obtain quotes and competitive prices from suppliers and contractors and maintain set budgets
  • Maintain your own administration works and updated communications to all stakeholders within business KPI’s

  
Skills and Experience:

  • Project management skills
  • Proven experience in an Estimating role
  • Provide detailed and accurate scope of works
  • Be able to review and identify problems/concerns with technical information and provide solution’s
  • Outstanding time-management abilities
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • High attention to detail

  • Achieve an understanding of policy coverage across all brands of Home Building Insurance with our clients
  • Co-ordinate all approved repairs using preferred trades and contractors.
  • Inspect repairs to ensure compliance with required WHS legislation after training has been provided
  • Provide communication updates to clients as per industry KPI’s.

    
Skills and Experience:

  • Trade experience (minimum of 3 years) preferable carpentry but not limited to
  • OH&S Construction Induction Card (White Card) (essential)
  • Current drivers’ licence
  • Microsoft office skills
  • Outstanding communication and customer service skills
  • Strong organisation and time-management abilities
  • Willingness to engage in training and work as part of a team
