About the Role:
Due to continued business growth, our Client is now seeking a self-motivated individual to assist their production and manufacturing team.  This is a newly created position which will suit either an experienced Trade Assistant with spray painting/sand blasting experience OR a keen, enthusiastic person, who is looking for an opportunity to get in on the ground floor and become trade qualified.

  • Safe operations of forklift
  • Undertake or learn all aspects of spray painting, blasting and application work
  • Manual handling
  • General workshop work as required
  • Safe use of power, hand tools and equipment
  • Assist with labelling and packing as required
  • Clean workshop, workspace and tools to ensure a safe working environment

Skills and Experience:

  • Have proven experience as a Trades Assistant in an industrial environment OR be a self motivated individual looking to start their Trade Career
  • Spray painting and/or blasting experience highly desirable
  • Hold a current forklift ticket or have the ability to obtain one
  • Willingness to learn and undertake on the job training
  • Must be hands-on and complete tasks that are necessary to meet deadlines
  • Proven interpersonal and multitasking skills
  • Strong literacy and numeracy skills
  • The ability to multitask, problem solve and organise activities with excellent time management
  • High attention to detail
  • Ability to take and follow direction and instructions
  • Be responsible and take accountability for your role and duties
  • Hold a valid driver’s licence

About the Role:
Due to their continued growth and success, our Client is now seeking an enthusiastic, results driven Workshop Assistant, who has a high attention to detail, is pro-active and passionate about providing a high level of quality work. You will be responsible for working effectively within the workshop environment and assisting both the Workshop and Hire Team.

  • Adhere to Workshop Safety protocols,
  • Complete wash and detail duties as required for Rental and New Machine Fleets
  • Complete basic machine inspections, photograph and detail as required
  • Move and position machines and attachments within the compound
  • Ready machines for hire – Including refuel/operational checks
  • Control machine loading and unloading in the yard
  • Develop best work practices with emphasis on safety and efficiency
  • Maintain and uphold the company values
  • Be prepared to work past the standard work hours and meet the needs of the Business
  • Upkeep the workshop and compound cleanliness

Skills and Experience:

  • High interest level or some experience in a Workshop or Mobile Plant environment an advantage
  • High level customer service
  • Sound communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Can work in a team and autonomously
  • Operator knowledge is a bonus, but not essential
