About the Role
You need to be an experienced Security Technician who is confident running a job from “fit off to commissioning”.  You will also be responsible for attending to servicing and any warranty work required by the customer.  You will be working with CCTV Systems, Intercom Systems and Access Control on new building projects.  Liaising with on-site electricians and developers will form part of your day.   Previous experience is essential however, you will receive product specific training and support on a regular basis.  Assistance, for large jobs will be available, if required.  This role has arisen due to expansion into the ACT.  For the right person, there will be the opportunity of career progression.

Duties: 

  • Install electronic security equipment
  • Programme and test equipment
  • Liaise with customers, contractors & team members
  • Order stock as required
  • Project manage the job timeline
  • Provide a daily report

  • Previous experience is essential
  • Commissioning exp is an advantage
  • Cablers License

About the Role:
Our Client is now seeking an experienced, results driven Field Service Technician, who is experienced in servicing mining and construction equipment and who is passionate about providing a high level of quality work. You will be responsible for liaising with internal and external Customers and providing solutions to machine faults within a timely manner.   This role plays an integral part in ensuring high levels of quality, safety, efficiency and customer service are provided by the Service Department at all times.

  • Diagnosis of customer issues over the phone where needed
  • Provide accurate reports on field work carried out

Skills and Experience:

  • Trade Certificate in Heavy Vehicle Mechanics, Earthmoving and Industrial (or Equivalent)
  • Minimum of 3 years post trade experience within the Earthmoving industry
  • Knowledge of Hydraulic, Pneumatic and Electrical Systems
  • Knowledge of Fault Diagnostics & Diagnostic Software
  • Sound communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills
  • Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
  • Ability to manage time and workloads
  • A “do it once and do it well” attitude
  • Can work in a team and autonomously
  • Varied skill set and open to working on a variety of equipment
  • OEM experience preferred, including working on excavators, wheel loaders and crushers
  • MR/HR Truck licence preferred
