About the Employer

We are a small client focused Sydney CBD based Project Management firm.  Our areas of specialisation being construction defects, remedial projects, safety and fire services.  Representing the Owners of both residential and commercial properties in the Sydney CBD and wider metropolitan area, we provide advice, facilitate upgrades and manage construction projects.  We are the liaison between consultants, contractors and Owners.
  
The ideal candidate will have at least 2-5 years experience specialising in preferably construction defects and fire service upgrades.  This position would ideally suit a recent graduate.

This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious project manager to grow and develop their skills, with the aim of being trained up to a more senior position in the longer term.  This role would ideally suit a recent graduate 2-5 years experience) who would like to expand on their career portfolio in the construction industry.  This role offers an experienced Project Manager the opportunity to develop their career over a multitude of disciplines with a small, friendly expanding team.

Duties

  • Plan, Manage & Control Projects
  • Ensure site compliance with fire service regulations
  • Liaison between client, contractors and sub-contractors
  • Assess and report on construction defects
  • Ensure projects run to programme and budget
  • Foster a collaborative and effective team environment
  • Attendance at meetings with Owners and sub-contractors
  • Business development

  
Skills and Experience

  • Must have at least 2-5 years project management experience
  • Preferably degree qualified in either Project Management, Engineering or Construction Management
  • Excellent project management and people skills
  • Sound understanding of construction
  • Must be competent in report writing and have excellent communication skills
  • Have a good understanding of safety, fire service standards and BCA
  • Must be computer literate, in particular Microsoft Office, CAD would be advantageous
  • Must be available to attend meetings outside of business hours
  • Should be able to work autonomously and achieve required deadlines
