About the Role:
The Warehouse Storeman is the main point of contact on all project delivery and day-to-day operations of the warehouse This is a one-man band, the ideal candidate is an energetic allrounder, who believes in working hard to get the job done. An individual that is practical, thinks outside the box and willing to put their knowledge, skills and experience to good use, in a fast-paced environment.

  • Assisting the tradesman to load their vehicles/trailers and account for additional stock taken, ensuring that they are in and out quickly and efficiently
  • Manage stock in warehouse, order goods where required, process purchase orders  into the system
  • Organising dispatch of order, including online orders
  • Monitor and manage inventory control with monthly stock take and reporting
  • On the road duties will include, taking the trailers to tip, completing deliveries and pickups
  • Maintains physical condition of warehouse by contributing to the planning and implementing of a new design layout
  • Inspecting equipment, issuing work orders for repair and requisitions for replacement
  • General tidying and maintenance of warehouse as required
  • Adhering to all OH&S procedures

Skills and Experience:

  • Be resilient and physically fit
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience of warehouse operations
  • Excellent record keeping and mathematics skills
  • Excellent level of communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Excellent time management, organisation and prioritisation skills
  • Experience in the use of computer systems and Microsoft Office – Outlook, Word, Excel, with the ability to adapt to new systems quickly
  • Current driver’s and forklift licence
  • Demonstrated experience facilitating change
  • Qualifications in Warehousing desirable
