About the Role:
Our client is a highly successful Gold Coast business who provides innovative and safe lifting solutions for heavy machinery in the mining industry. They have been in operation for over 50 years, and have developed a reputation for uncompromised quality, reliability and design. Their products are locally manufactured and are supplied to customers in Australia and throughout the World.
Due to continued business growth, our Client is now seeking a self-motivated individual to assist their production and manufacturing team. This is a newly created position which will suit either an experienced individual who is mechanically minded and has experience working within a manufacturing or industrial environment OR a keen, enthusiastic person, who is looking for an opportunity to get in on the ground floor and become trade qualified.

Duties:
- Safe operations of a forklift
- Undertake or learn all aspects of assembly and production work
- Undertake or learn spray painting and sand blasting
- Manual handling and general workshop duties
- Safe use of power, hand tools and equipment
- Assist with labelling and packing as required
- Clean workshop, workspace and tools to ensure a safe working environment
Skills and Experience:
- Have proven experience as a Trades Assistant in an industrial or manufacturing environment OR be a self motivated individual who enjoys working with their hands and looking to start their Trade Career
- Hold a current forklift ticket or have the ability to obtain one
- Willingness to learn and undertake on the job training
- Must be hands-on and complete tasks that are necessary to meet deadlines
- Proven interpersonal and multitasking skills
- Strong literacy and numeracy skills
- The ability to multitask, problem solve and organise activities with excellent time management
- High attention to detail
- Ability to take and follow direction and instructions
- Be responsible and take accountability for your role and duties
- Physically fit with the ability to up to 20kgs
- Hold a valid driver’s licence
