About the Role:

Due to ongoing growth, a challenging and varied position is now available for a self-motivated individual who has exceptional Bookkeeping skills.  Reporting to the Director, this position will see you being responsible for all Accounting functions up to Trial Balance, Payroll and other associated accounting tasks.  In addition, you will also be responsible for overseeing an additional staff member and for general office management on a daily basis.  This is a pivotal role in the business, so it is crucial that the person has a high attention to detail, the ability to use their initiative and is able to work autonomously.

Duties:

  • High volume data entry, including accounts payable and receivable
  • Preparation of Accounts up to Trial Balance
  • Preparation of weekly, monthly and annual reports
  • Bank and Credit Card Reconciliations
  • Debt collection
  • Weekly and monthly payment runs
  • Payroll for up to 30 employees plus sub-contractor payments
  • Maintenance of employee files, licences and registrations
  • Company and vehicle insurances and registrations
  • Liaising with the external Accountant
  • Office management duties as required

Skills and Experience:

  • Positive individual who has a “can-do” attitude
  • Minimum 5 to 10 years bookkeeping experience
  • Team player who can work autonomously
  • Superior attention to detail
  • Ability to use your initiative and proactively think ahead
  • Exceptional communication skills
  • Organisational and time management that is second to none
  • Ability to deal with highly confidential information
  • Strong computer skills, including MS Office and Quickbooks knowledge preferable
