About the Employer
Our client is a leading not for profit organisation based in Melbourne that delivers bespoke solutions in the digital health and primary care space. With over 25 years in the business, they operate a range of clinical services including triple zero triage services with Ambulance Victoria, diabetes, asthma & care planning clinics across GP practices and a range of mental health services across Victoria.
  
They operate a data platform which provides clinical insights to GPs and PHNs at a person and population level with a range of privacy settings compliant with the Australian Privacy Principles, legislation and related standards.    
  
About the Role:
Reporting directly to the CEO, the primary role of the Communications manager is to enhance sector knowledge around the data product suite to stakeholders including Primary Health Networks (PHNs) and general practices across Australia.
  
Through their clinical services, which are principally focused on primary care and mental health, the role will work with the Director of Clinical Services seeking to support the further development of the business by highlighting the company’s work with Ambulance Victoria, with PHNs and directly in General Practice. 
  
The successful candidate must have highly developed communication, analytical, problem solving and influencing skills with proven ability to build effective relationships across a broad range of stakeholders.

Duties:

  • Lead, develop and implement communication strategies across the business
  • Create a conversation via company’s communications by telling the company story
  • Target a range of audiences by using multiple channels including social, electronic etc
  • Oversee the on-line presence, including website, social media, and digital platforms
  • Oversee creation and execution of a refreshed digital strategy
  • Oversight of overall communication strategies and a series of connected activities, resource development, and events such as annual research showcase.
  • Work closely with data team to develop a range of strategies and rolling out any new implementations
  • Management of all communications and key relationships

  
  
Skills and Experience:

  • 2+ years’ experience within a similar role
  • The ability to write a range of nuanced communications, from press releases to newsletters and communications with Governments
  • An understanding of primary health care landscape and environment
  • An understanding of National Health Strategies, PHN structures and priorities
  • Highly developed communication, analytical, problem solving and influencing skills with proven ability to build effective relationships across a broad range of stakeholders
