About the Employer
Our client is a leading not for profit organisation based in Melbourne that delivers bespoke solutions in the digital health and primary care space. With over 25 years in the business, they operate a range of clinical services including triple zero triage services with Ambulance Victoria, diabetes, asthma & care planning clinics across GP practices and a range of mental health services across Victoria.
  
They operate a data platform which provides clinical insights to GPs and PHNs at a person and population level with a range of privacy settings compliant with the Australian Privacy Principles, legislation, and related standards.    
  
About the Role:
Reporting directly to the Director of Research, The Postdoc Researcher will advance the agenda of the Institute by planning, developing, and engaging in high quality research initiatives which produce high quality output. The successful applicant will develop research protocols, participate in grant submissions, undertake core aspects of research work, and will contribute to analysis and dissemination of key findings.
Much of the research will be working collaboratively and alongside universities who utilise the data set, ensuring the work they are undertaking is consistent with the values, quality and outcomes our client are seeking.

Duties:

  • Contribute to high quality research in a dynamic team environment
  • Contribute to publication and dissemination of research results in peer-reviewed outlets
  • Advance the development of research strategy and contribute to implementing the research strategy in alignment with appropriate governance structures
  • Develop appropriate external networks relevant to the Institute objectives and to future funding opportunities
  • Substantially contribute to grant submissions
  • Facilitate and coordinate relevant research symposiums and conferences to promote and advance the Institute’s research agenda

  
Skills and Experience:

  • 2+ years’ experience within a similar role
  • PhD/Doctoral qualifications in a relevant field
  • Advanced communication, presentation and writing skills
  • Emerging track record and recognition for high quality research output evidenced by publications
  • Experience in quantitative research skills methodology
  • Ability to build and maintain networks through excellent communication with key stakeholders including industry, academia, government bodies and other agencies
  • Proficiency in one or more statistical analysis package or BI tools
  • Highly developed communication, analytical, problem solving and influencing skills with proven ability to build effective relationships across a broad range of stakeholders
