About the Role: Our client is looking for an accountant interested in moving into a partial business advisory role, willing to network with clients & onboard the occasional new client through charm & tenacity. They are currently seeking a strong character, someone who is interested in managing junior staff, willing to learn but is also confident in their abilities & inherently driven. 
  
Key Responsibilities will include:

  • Personally provide Tax and Business Advice for a variety of clients in various industries and group structures
  • Manage workflows of the team & assist the team in achieving budgets where required
  • Manage & achieve individual weekly job budgets
  • Developing the understanding in other advisory areas such as  mortgage, insurance, and virtual CFO reportinG
  • Maintain effective relationships with clients
  • Network with the Partner & provide assistance in the firm’s development where required  

To be successful in this role you must have the following:

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills are required due to the high volume of written communication and advice to clients
  • Must be interested in a variety of your work & learning new skills & constantly growing
  • Must have rights to live & work in Australia
  • 5 years of full-time experience in a “local” public practice
  • Completed CA/CPA preferable, near completion will be considered.
  • Solid understanding of tax and accounting fundamentals
  • Advanced Xero experience
  • Ability to build rapport with the team
  • Experience in managing junior staff and team budgets
  • Previous experience and exposure to complex group tax structures
  • Proven ability to develop and build client relationships
